Carnet Train Tickets

If you often travel back and forth to London on the train but you don't go regularly enough to buy a Season Ticket, the Carnet option could save you time and money.

10%* discount with Carnet

Carnet offers a 10%* discount on 5 or 10 single train journeys. You can use each train ticket once for one journey in the direction of travel printed on the ticket.

Carnet train tickets are valid for 3 months and there are two types of Carnet available to mix and match as you need:

  • Peak - valid anytime; and
  • Off-Peak - valid for arrivals in London after 10.00 Monday to Friday (Public Holidays excepted) and for departures from London after 09.30 Monday to Friday (Public Holidays excepted) but NOT valid for travel between 16.30 and 19.01 Monday to Friday (Public Holidays excepted) where evening peak restrictions apply (see timetable for details).

*The individual ticket journey price is based the relevant 'Anytime Day Return' or 'Off-Peak Day Return' fare TO London being discounted by 10% for journeys to/from London.  For non-London journeys to/from Cambridge, the relevant ‘Anytime Day Return’ fare is discounted by 10%.
