Getting to Gatwick Airport
Gatwick Airport station is on our Thameslink route so from the north take any train to Brighton and from the south any train to Bedford.
If travelling from the Great Northern route, we strongly advise using the improved, step free interchange between King's Cross and London St Pancras stations.
The train station is conveniently located in the South Terminal building with a short, free train transit to the North Terminal.
Rail information and ticket desks are located in the rail station and within the arrival areas of both terminals.
To make it even easier for you, we have screens in the baggage reclaim areas this summer telling you when your next train to London is, so while you're waiting for your bags you don't have to worry about planning your journey home!!
Making your journey easier
We know that sometimes flights are delayed or your journey plans change at the last minute so we want to make sure you find up-to-date information from us on the move.
We have an excellent mobile website with live journey information and our dedicated Twitter team (@FirstCC) will be happy to help if you need to ask them how to get to the airport or they can also provide you with the latest travel information updates.
You can also set up travel alerts to learn if there are any delays to your train service.

Airlines recommend arriving at the airport well in advance of your departure time but please check your ticket or contact your airline before travelling.
