Making the most of your journey

With over 150,000 customers travelling with First Capital Connect on a daily basis, we recognise that ongoing investment in getting the basics right makes a big difference to your journey.

Since we started operating your train services over two and a half years ago, customers have been telling us how they’ve benefited from the changes.  That’s why we’ve developed a special poster campaign to tell you how people like you are benefiting from the services that we are continuously striving to improve.

Earlier this summer, we advertised at stations and on our website and invited customers from across the route with interesting hobbies or professions to volunteer to be featured in the campaign – thanks to all who entered.

We now have six campaign ‘stars’, representing all our routes, so when you’re next travelling with us, keep your eyes peeled at your local station for fellow customers and poster stars, Peter, John, Russell, Melanie, Charlotte, Victoria and Richy, and learn how each of them has felt the benefit of various initiatives we’ve introduced to help take the strain out of your journey.

Everyone has different needs - whether it’s saving money on off-peak and GroupSave tickets; text message and email alert services to help you plan your journey before you set off; or checking train times and booking tickets online and having them delivered to your door.

For extra flexibility, our quick ticket machines at stations, Park & Pay by Phone service and on-board staff have also been introduced for your added convenience. Also our on-board revenue staff are also available to help you with your journey.

Communicating our commitment to you

Watch out for Peter, John, Russell, Melanie, Charlotte, Victoria and Richy at your station!
